1. Open Barn Days at Sunrise Sanctuary

Sunrise Sanctuary is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that cares for previously abandoned, injured, abused, and neglected pets and farm animals. Residents of the 19-acre sanctuary include goats, horses, pigs, cows, sheep, cats, dogs, small mammals such as rodents, and birds. Once a month, you can get close to these cute creatures and tour the grounds at an Open Barn Day event. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 3 and older (younger kids are free).

Upcoming Open Barn Days will take place June 24 from 1 to 3 p.m., July 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and August 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. These events raise money to operate the sanctuary and take care of its animal residents. Sunrise Sanctuary is located at 16730 Martin Welch Road in Marysville.

Take a drive in a Cadillac Escalade, Buick Encore, or Chevrolet Traverse and explore the city’s historic streets and spend a wonderful few hours on a farm surrounded by happy animals.

Marysville’s beautiful Uptown District, a vibrant area that hosts an array of fairs and festivals throughout the year, is filled with historic buildings from 1860 to the early 1900s, including the Union County Museum and the Avalon Theatre. Stroll to 103 South Main Street to look at the “Union County’s Giant,” an art installation honoring Colonel Noah Orr, admire the All Ohio Balloon Fest mural at 27 North Main Street, and the Reuben Partridge Mural at 130 North Main Street, celebrating the man who built the many bridges in Central Ohio. Also, pop in at The Scotts-Miracle Gro Company Store, a historic hardware store that opened its doors in 1868 and still displays vintage goods.

Engine Performance

When it comes to engine performance, all four of the 2023 Silverado 1500’s engine choices are impressive.
